Rangers legend Nacho Novo leaves hospital to recover after heart attack in Germany

The former Ibrox striker suffered a heart attack while playing in the ‘legends’ tournament in Berlin.

Rangers legend Nacho Novo has left hospital after a heart attack in Germany over a week ago.

The former Ibrox striker was rushed to hospital following a heart attack at the ‘legends’ tournamentin Berlin.

He has spent the last 10 days in hospital recovering after receiving treatment in intensive care.

His terrified girlfriend Stephanie Heaney, 33, flew out to be with the 38-year-old after her told her the news.

 

The pair will stay together in a hotel in Berlin to allow Novo to recover for a few more days before flying back to Glasgow.

Organisers of the tournament shared the news on Twitter.

Stephanie took to Facebook to thank fans for their ‘overwhelming support’ and kind well-wishes.

She said: “Thanking everyone for the well wishes and messages and the Rangers football club and all the staff for there support esp John Brown (bomber).”

“Nachos totally over whelmed by the support and looking forward to getting home.

“And he’s sporting his best in his Rangers top getting stronger every day.”

Novo had recently opened a new bar called NN10 in Glasgow.
